“One Billion Rising” campaign launched in Rajasthan

“It is going to be one of the biggest cultural tsunamis against violence,” said Kamla Bhasin as she launched the One Billion Rising campaign in Jaipur, Rajasthan. Triggered by a United Nations projection that one in three women in the world is beaten or raped during her lifetime, the campaign has outreach in 160 countries worldwide and 17 states in India, to date.
