Film Festival forms part of OBR campaign action

Oct 1, 2012: As part of the global ‘One Billion Rising’ campaign to end Violence against Women, Jagori and IAWRT India along with several partners including Action Aid India, are launching a film festival. Beginning November 25, 2012, the festival will showcase a range of films – from classic to contemporary – spotlighting the lives of women world-wide. Building Inclusive Cities: Women’s Safety and the Right to the City

Building Inclusive Cities draws from action research across the world to bring together a theoretical understanding on the theme of Women and Safety. It addresses challenges that women face with respect to safety and exclusion in cities and critically looks at ongoing actions to make cities safer. Read more

Gender Inclusive Cities: Final report

Jagori was an implementing partner in the Gender Inclusive Cities Programme (GICP) – 2009 to 2011. Funded by the United Nations Trust Fund to End Violence against Women (UNTF), it was coordinated by Women in Cities International in Montréal, Canada (WICI). The final report is now ready.
