The fourth year of the global One Billion Rising (OBR) campaign saw hundreds of people gathering to support the cause by singing, dancing and performing.

The promotion of R.K. Pachauri at The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) has been condemned by women’s rights groups as Pachauri has been accused of sexually harassing a colleague in 2015. 

A panel discussion was held by the Indian Women's Press Corps (IWPC), UN Women and United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) as a part of the UN Secretary General's campaign 'UNITE to end violence against women and children'.  The findings of the study done by UN Women revealed that about 95% of women living in Delhi do not find public places safe.
